Open Carry is now good law in Missouri and the current attempt by Mayor Sly and the City Council to crackdown on 2nd Amendment rights is both misguided and shameful.
Remember that our blog community was the FIRST to put news of this City Hall gun rights crackdown on blast.
Still, Mayor Sly and City Council are neglecting the Constitution and offering a DESPICABLE defense of an Open Carry crackdown.
Just now, Dead Tree media chimed in with their support that's ignorant of gun rights in the Show-Me State and scornful of 2nd Amendment protection.
Moreover, this gun rights crackdown accomplishes NOTHING but silly political pandering. Right now OPEN CARRY ENTHUSIASTS PRESENT NO CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO KANSAS CITY and more often than not they are a sign that we live in a free and vibrant Democracy. A few of these peeps hang out @ local Starbucks, Liberty events and other places without a single incident. It's also worth noting that crime has spiked in every city that has cracked down on law-abiding gun owners.

The Mayor and Council miss the mark again given that ILLEGAL GUNS present far more danger to locals and this TWISTED ATTACK ON KANSAS CITY CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED FREEDOM which makes it clear that our elected leaders have nothing but contempt for our rights, they probably hate America and don't have much in common with the residents of this community.
