Kansas City Waldo Late Night Blackout!!!

Kansas City Summer heat is already frying the local grid as our KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS express a moment of doubt regarding the local creative community . . .

"Part of Waldo in the dark. Millennials are gathered around fading tablets and cell phones. Very few have emergency candles. This is the group that will save KC?"

Hopefully, they'll have the power back on soon . . . If not, think about calling up KCP&L's rep on the City Council . . . Mayor Pro Tem Cindy Circo.

Update . . . It was a utility pole fire that cut power last night.

More in a bit . . .

The diminishing returns of technology... folks with fruitfly attention spans and about that much foresight.

The nail tech must have shimmed up a pole with a file clenched in her teeth. Lights are now on!

Lights out for one hour. Not bad for a broke down utility that wants to raise rates and has hired a worthless PR punk.

Uh, Tony. The fucking Highway Shooter just wrote The Star and said he is wrongfully accused. Comments are disabled. Get on it stat.

The millenials don't want cars and they don't need electricity, since they don't really understand where it comes from.
Just an abandoned warehouse to gather with other "makers", a soy latte', and later an organic kale smoothie and they'll be all set.
KCMO is going to be saved by creativity and really good PR.
Just don't look too closely behind the movie set facade.

The Calebs were frantically searching for their ironic candles, no doubt.

The would have had some in their trunks if only they'd had cars.

If they hadn't been too uppity for the Walmart neighbor mart, I'm sure it would have had generators and sold candles.
