Kansas City Hobo Tech Life Teaching Moment

Any hobos reading this blog (maybe only like 1/4th of you) should avail themselves of the many resources available in Kansas City . . . Other than free bathing in local foundtains during off-hours (kidding) . . .

Here's a word on the tech life of local hobos from a KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTER . . .

"Very nice of the River Market Community Improvement District (CID) to put the park benches in River Market for the homeless to gather on. However CID neglected to put in charging stations. They have to use the outside outlets on the Populous building to charge their cell phones."

Soon enough, they'll be on the toy train streetcar . . . FOR FREE!!!

TKC Fun Fact: I've talked to that guy with the shock of white hair and he's actually quite an interesting Kansas City raconteur.

More in a bit . . .

  1. Community Improvement Districts - "...Mayor Sly James celebrated the fact that Downtown Kansas City had reached a tipping point – that moment when an idea, trend or behavior crosses a threshold, tips and spreads like wildfire. That tipping point did not happen by accident. The creation of the CIDs proved to be two pivotal moments in Downtown’s revival." When is City Hall going to put needs of citizens in front of Downtown’s revival?

  2. Fuck nerds and their cell phones. We are petitioning the city to instal a very long tin can and string system to match the trolly innovation We understand they can be purchased in Portugal for a few million.
