Prepare for worse when your community is not served by real transit because you let a minority of tea party bullies steal your right to vote, just so Cherry DeJEans didn't have to deal with her house being partially built on city right of way.

Some lawyer that can't fix that without gerrymandering an election.

Brookside's allure is being reduced by the increasingly violent city around it.

That's weird, since the city around it is increasingly LESS violent.

But don't let facts get in the way of wild FEAFEARFEARFEAR FEAR!!!!zOMG! FEAR! Runa way runaway

I guess I'm missing something because I just don't see Brookside as the paradise some people think it is. Being one of the nicest neighborhoods in KCMO is like being the fart that smells the least. A lot of the houses there are not kept up very well and a lot of them have junky "art" in the yards, etc. Given that the bank in the business district is robbed about once a week and the fact that you can hear gunfire from the east at night, it doesn't seem like a mystery to me why people aren't itching to move there.

Don't forget the chick with the kitty littered yard. What the rest of the world would call kooky is "artistic" in KCMO.
