Check Out Kansas City Undocumented Hotel Worker Crackdown Against Cheapskates

KMBC "A couple who owns two hotels in the Kansas City metropolitan area face up to five years in prison and $500,000 in fines after pleading guilty to a federal charge of hiring undocumented workers."

KC Biz Journal: "Clarion Hotel at 7000 W. 108th Street in Overland Park and Clarion Hotel at 11828 NW Plaza Circle in Kansas City.

According to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Kansas, Chaudary and Bridge admitted to paying the undocumented workers less than their other employees. They also under-reported the number of employees, the total wages they paid to those employees and the amount due in unemployment taxes with the Kansas Department of Labor."

  1. I am shocked there are undocumented workers cleaning hotel rooms. I would be more shocked if you could find an English speaking hotel maid. Its much easier to have a couple of kids and live off the state.
