Broke-Ass Teaching Moment: Kansas City Public Schools Free Lunch Life Lesson

KMBC and a realization that the American economy is fundamentally changing . . . For the worse: Students in the Kansas City School District will be able to eat free breakfast and lunch starting in the fall.

In fairness, just about everybody in the district was getting free lunches anyhoo and these meals might be one of the very few bright spots for the KCPS amid talk that test scores are lower this year.

  7. the School Board should not authorize purchases of alcohol on Green's KCMSD credit card. The State of Missouri government prohibits alcohol purchases on the State's dime, why should we as KC taxpayers authorize alcohol purchases on the KCMSD dime? Better keep those credit card receipts with the itemized bill, because the Sunshine Law Requests are coming. And Green should be made to personally repay every dime he spent on alcohol.

You chase out our superintendent and then two weeks later bitch about the fact that we have had a different superintendent every two years. We have much bigger problems in the district than worrying about whether the executives have a beer at lunch.
