Important image and more local insight about Kansas City Infrastructure (or lack thereof) too . . .
"Belmont Boulevard every time it rains. Has never had curbs or storm drains. Both have been requested through PIAC numerous times. People can’t park in from of their own homes."
Remember PIAC public hearings are coming up across the City and maybe the INTENSELY CURIOUS locals might ask their representatives about why so much of the cash dedicated to neighborhoods has now been redirected toward the toy train streetcar.
City hall should pass an emergency tax hike authorizing more money to be used for a study on how these backups can be turned into temporary artisan ponds - urban recreation ponds that will attract tourists and millennials.
ReplyDeleteI like that idea.
ReplyDeleteWe had new storm drains put in, one had to be redone three times! And it still does this.
ReplyDeleteSHOCK!!! BIG PUDDLES, POSSIBLY WET,
ReplyDeleteFORM WHEN IT RAINS A LOT!!!
No sense in going to the PIAC meetings.
ReplyDeleteAll the money that's supposed to go to repair and improve things like storm drains has been committed to the streetcar projects for years to come.
Instead, form a CID, tax yourselves again, and provide for these kinds of basics that residents of most real cities take for granted.
In fact, if you can find some vounteers to do the work, it might save you some money.
Thanks for playing.
And at 4:05 Mensa boy checks in yet again on the blog he can't stand yet where he loves to post his stream-of-unconsciousness thoughts.
ReplyDeleteIf we could just get 40 days and nights of rain maybe we could clean up this town.
ReplyDeleteYou do not want a CID in your neighborhood. After paying more taxes, they just provide basic services that City Hall should already be providing.
ReplyDeleteI've been tweeting similar pictures of flooded northeast streets and comments all morning. Glad to know other people are on the same page as me.
ReplyDeleteThe self-important hipster bitch but do nothing page. Been there.
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY ..why don't you lazy fucks with all the spare time, DO SOMETHING INSTEAD OF WHINING?!
ReplyDeletebunch of pussies. As bad as Alonzo.
We need affirmative action and diversity in the Water Department. They need to hire some white people.
ReplyDeleteBecause they have spent years on the Light Rail Studies and Streetcar studies and nothing on the neighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteCost over runs on every project they do by $10 million and more.
ReplyDeleteCan no one at city hall do a cost study.
Where did all the water come from?

ReplyDeleteLots of rain @KCMO Hold off on the washing those clothes to give our pipes a break!
@714, very correct.
ReplyDeleteMultiple news outlets are reporting that the new Inca road includes a nearly five meter long tunnel, still intact 500 years after its construction. Andina reports that the tunnel is constructed with the specially shaped rocks typical of Inca architecture.
ReplyDeleteI see curbs in the fucking picture, retard.
ReplyDeleteIn other news, my lawn has some weeds in it. HOW COME WE CAN AFFORD TOY TRAINZZZ BOONDUGGER UNJUST UNDUE BURDENZ but the city can not stop weeds from growing in between my sidewalk and the curb that I pretend isnt there
DEMOCRACY IS DEAD BOONDOGGLE BOONDOGGLE
CK = Atlantis
And thanks for yet another irrelevant, incoherent, and immature rant, MB.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Self-"Employed" Internet Lawyer, out of touch Brookside "Neighbor", patronizing old white man, and erstwhile Show Me Shill.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your awesome "grassroots" facebook page, your increasingly desperate talking points, your utter misunderstanding of elections, laws and facts, and your 20,000 of of towner "buy an election" teabag dollars.
See you next time you show up at a neighborhood meeting of a neighborhood you don't live in and try to shout down anyone who contradicts your Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt lies with TRUTH.
Getting a tad paranoid there MB? Of course, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean everyone isn't against you.
