Northeast News: Next stop for food sharing ordinance is City Council

To be fair, because of procedural considerations . . . Protestors might not get to speak on this ordinance to the City Council but this demonstration reveals a groundswell of antipathy against politicos @ 12th & Oak . . .

  3. The bureaucrat down at the health department that dreamed this fucking ordinance up needs to test the soup line on a permanent basis.

  4. This ridiculoous ordinance, like most "ideas" at city hall, wasn't dreamed up by some bureacrat. It came from some property owners who don't like homeless people hanging out around their properties and, as usual, the cowardly councilmembers, rather than thinking through what the actual impact of such an ordinance could be, simply folded and said yes to the complainers just to get them out of their offices.
Now, when the idea becomes public and represents the unbelievealbe micromanagement that it does,
    the retreat has begun.
With cowards who have no courage nor any ideas of their own, just be sure to be the last one to have a meeting with them and your position will prevail.

  5. Does it matter what the city does? Ut won't be long before KC makes national news as the most beat up city government in courtroom history. If I want to give a starving human a sandwich the city can go fuck itself. What are they gonna do send me to Levenworth?

  6. The northeast area has a lot bigger issues to worry about than permit to feed the homeless. A bunch of nut jobs in that neighborhood..Ms Caplan is the #1 whack job

  7. If all you pussies from Overland Park would quit coming to my neighborhood and feeding these criminals who shit in my doorway and steal from my customers we would all be better off. Give your money to the City Union Mission if you need to make yourself feel better when you are watching the KU game at Applebees. Or better yet, take a homeless person back to your subdivision and see how you like cleaning up shit and empty bottles off your porch each morning.

  8. I agree 1103. Fuck these assholes and fuck the laws of unintended consequence.

That's why I pour bleach or antifreeze on all the dumpster food

  9. I am guessing the dumpsters where you live are not very frequented by the homeless. So you don't need to worry. Save your OP Leawood compassion for the City Union Mission. Stop fucking with my West Bottoms neighborhood.
