TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! TOP 5 REASONS MAYOR SLY IS LOSING KANSAS CITY NORTHLAND!!!

Over the past couple of weeks we've heard from the Northland regarding increasing resistance to Mayor Sly's rule.

Right now . . .

CHECK THE TOP 5 REASONS KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY FACES INCREASING OPPOSITION IN THE NORTHLAND!!!

Here's a rundown of opposition across the bridge that's trending . . .

Kansas City Northland Isn't Sold On The New Single-Terminal Airport

Opposition from Congressman Graves and other Missouri state officials reveals that the Nothland is skeptical about plans to use the construction of a new airport as an economic development scheme. Some of the strongest airport critics like SaveKCI.org can point to neighborhood concern and overall economic data which offers more than a bit of insight into serious political consequences for the Mayor pushing this plan.

Northland Infrastructure Disparity

Kansas City Northland advocates are fond of pointing out that while KCMO complains about crumbling infrastructure . . . The Northland doesn't have ANY to criticize. There are a few building plans in the works but generally the Northland has long complained that their needs have been neglected.

Police And Public Safety Disparity

Speaking of resources . . . We've noted that public safety continues to be a major concern for folks across the bridge and Insiders tout Northland police allocation to urban core hotspots as one of their top concerns amid the rule of Mayor Sly James.

Kansas City Fire Guy Rebellion

From KCFD outsourcing to station closing . . . Mayor Sly has been on the opposite side of Kansas City Firefighters as of late and the Northland is where all of those angry white dudes live until they soon win the right to leave city limits.

New Council Contenders Aren't Drinking Mayor Sly's Kool-Aid

This is gonna be fun and it's the new trend that nobody is watching . . .

3/4 NEW KANSAS CITY NORTHLAND CITY COUNCIL CONTENDERS ARE TALKING ABOUT OPPOSING MAYOR SLY'S POWER MOVES!!!

Across the bridge it seems that there's a desire among constituents to put a check on Mayor Sly's claims of a creative economy benefit and TIF giveaways. That's right: Opposition to Mayor Sly is becoming a City Council campaign platform given the current rubber stamp crew @ 12th & Oak.

These are all trends to watch as Mayor Sly James and his people fear new political opponents attempting to capitalize on a falling public approval rating from Kansas City's formerly favorite politico.

  3. At the end of the day, all the new folks elected and those who are re-elected will keep doing the same insider butt-kissing, dancing with the swells, and blowing millions on grandiose schemes that have nothing to do with what's best for the residents and businesses in KCMO.
And they'll continue to ignore important, though boring, issues like public safety, infrastructure, storm water systems, a decent water department, and all the other things that ARE critical to folks who actually live here.
Just go back and review all the promises and plans from the last campaign, including Sly's.
There're all forgotten and will be again once the doors close and the big dogs tell the newbies how things really work.
    A city that works.
    Just not for you.

  5. Northlanders don't like the American Negro. Now they do fancy the Section 8 rents that seem to come with the American Negro.

Those government checks are always on time. So expect more Section 8 housing in the great northern mecca of pale white.

  6. "Northland is where all of those angry white dudes live until they soon win the right to leave city limits."

Right Tony, you know as well as I do that the city residency requirement will never go away. The city enjoys keeping all of the taxes from the hefty fire department salaries including property and sales tax that must be sent within the city limits.

The union, who should be fighting for the employees freedom to live where they want will not take up the cause because they have greater political clout when they can tell the politicians they are paying off that they have 1500 members who all live within the city and who will go like mindless sheep to the polling places and vote for whoever the union tells them to.

    1. You don't need an apostrophe on jobs to make it plural. This is basic.

  13. 11:56pm , you forgot the Northland has 1/10 of the crime of inner Killer City and when you take out the nigger crime, 1/50th of the crime.

  14. 10:34: 10:26 wasn't Russ. 11:56 is more like it, but even that may not be Russ since he likes to give his posts added incoherence by using all caps.

  15. Yep. 11:56 was Russ, all right. He was just too tired to use all caps.

  17. Realistically KC North has very little in common with the rest of kc itself. if there was anyway for it to secede from kc proper that would be the best course of action.

  18. 12:20 Sorry to tell you the invasion of the Ebonic Plague into the north has already stared, they have moved in to North Kansas City, Riverside and Gladstone. North Oak from NKC to N75th St is starting to look like Troost 30 years ago.

  20. Lulzers at a sprawl not bitching about handouts...suburbs are quite literally built with government handout money. Delicious irony. Your entire suburban life is unsustainable, does not pay for itself and is 85% subsidized by every level of government there is.

    Northland = welfare kingdom
