If you saw the current city workers testify that they don't want work for a private company you would understand the poor collections the city has experienced. They could hardly form a coherent sentence so why would they be any good at billing anything more complicated than a lunch ticket?

In one year, when there are lower expenses and higher collections, Sly is going to look like a genius. Union will still grumble, but they need to worry about unscrewing the mess they've made of the ambulance service.

ReplyDeleteOut sourcing these jobs is straight out of the ALEC handbook. Dedicated employees are shipped out or marginalized to make way for corporate greed. When this billing company doesn't live up to their own hype it will become a revolving door of out of town criminal corporations.
