TKC BLOG COMMUNITY MARKET RESEARCH REPORT: MOST KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS SIDE WITH COP OVER FIREFIGHTER IN TRAGIC DEADLY ALTERCATION!!!

In a deadly wedding night fight between a firefighter and a police officer all of Kansas City came out losing and this city also stands to lose BIG MONEY in the aftermath.

However . . .

ACCORDING TO TKC MARKET RESEARCH DATA AND OUR BLOG COMMUNITY . . . MOST KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS SIDE WITH A POLICE OFFICER AND AGAINST THE FIREFIGHTER IN THE AFTERMATH OF A DEADLY ALTERCATION!!!

We asked the question yesterday and the response was overwhelming.

This BREAKING NEWS TKC MARKET RESEARCH REPORT is important given that the firefighter's wife and lawyer seem to be taking their case to the court of public opinion.

In fairness, the testimony of the wife could prove persuasive given the tragedy of her loss but our metrics simply show that most media watchers mostly disapprove of people who get in violent altercations with police.

The firefighter was in the wrong, dead wrong. Cop took a beating so there was deadly force from the firefighter. Thank God the firefighter didn't have an axe.

  7. Now let's see. A guy gets pissed off because a cab driver tried to cheat him because he thought the guy was drunk and the drunk gets pissed off. A cop (off duty) hired by a hotel to protect the hotel jumps in with (with HIGH T) and gets smaked around the guy (perp) runs cuz he is still pissed off and pumped and the cop chases him (even though he has enough info to charge the guy without arrwesting him) and gets more than he can handle so he shoots the drunk guy and kills him... Game over. Hmmmm. Whadda you think Forte? Is this the KCPD you want?

drunk douche bag attacks cab driver, attacks cop, gets shot. Had he complied he would have probably been out on bond in an hour.
Firefighters who believe they are special and above the laws and conduct everyone else lives by. That the kind of fire dept you want? Of course it is, you are one of them.

  13. Now let's see. A fat ass, drunk, union thug attempts to steal services from a small business owner by refusing to pay his cab fare. When the cab driver objects, because he has a family he is attempting to providing for, the fat ass, drunk, union thug assaults him. An off duty cop hired by the hotel to keep the peace is called to a disturbance in the parking garage, where he witnesses first hand, the assault on the cab driver. The fat ass, drunk, union thug, realizing he's probably going to be arrested on his wedding night for assaulting the cab driver, flees in an attempt to avoid being arrested. The cop gives chase until the fat ass, drunk, union thug, stops fleeing in exhaustion (about a half a block), and attempts to take the fat ass, drunk, union thug into custody. Rather than going peacefully with the officer, the fat ass, drunk, union thug becomes actively assaultive towards the cop, rolls over on top of the cop and begins punching him repeatedly in the head breaking his cheek, jaw whatever. The cop, realizing he is seriously injured and at risk of blacking out, now fears the fat ass, drunk, union thug will gain control of his firearm and kill him (remember he too has a wife and family he is providing for). The cop draws his firearm, fires and kills fat ass, drunk, union thug. DRT...Game over. What do you think Fire Chief Berardi? How about you President and grand poobah of union thugs Cambiano? Is this the KCFD you want?

    1. So if Mr. BRUNO was your son, father, brother, or friend, you would feel the same way?

  21. Why is this guys FAMILY suing the hotel? He was married...this should be a widow as in one person thing, not an entire family of bruno people getting in on the payday.....what does drunkie mcdrunklestein's family of drunks need to get in on this mess for?

These people need to have some class but instead they are running to the news with their free blood money.

I get it, I know why they are suing and doing all this on principle. Yes, the cops were jerks and rude. I do believe they tried to cover up. I do believe there are more bad cops in this tale than just the security guy. I think someone should look into the big men with badges behavior. But .21 blodd alcohol is pretty high. Punching a cabbie is stupid. Walking away and leaving your cousin and bride is stupid. The camera people didn't call 911. Then they got harassed. In the cops statement he only acts concerned because of the camera people. I don't get that. I don't know why the camera people didn't call 911. The camera people were acting plenty stupid, screaming, what did he do? and not calling 911 after the officer asked for it. Lots of stupid here to go around. I don't see any statements from the people that helped. I see no witness statements.

Now the whole family is getting in on it.

If you want to get all legal on this, the marriott is only partially responsible because he shot the guy on the corner of the meulbach hotel, so there is some more people to sue there. Mostly the security guard is going to get hammered on this. It will be his cash. Looks like he might be bringing down his buddies in blue with him from the investigation and cover up. Given this family and their tacky ways to run and scream to the media, this is going to be interesting dirty linen; but only for a minute, before some youth riot happens in westport or the plaza.

    Bruce Willis the cop
    John Balushi the Fireman
    Akmed Al Wasingfunga the Cabbie
    Some extra for the cousin.

Gonna be a 5 popcorn bagger.

There is the money from this trajedy...

Looks like the drunk fireman did not have situational awareness of the seriousness of where the scuffle had risen.

I bet the fireman was not aware he was fighting a cop but just thought he was in a bar fight until he heard and felt the bullet.

Kinda sad, because he surely would have known the gravity of the situation had he not be so drunk he could not cypher what was in fact happening.

  27. As I see it, this POS Bruno was an idiot and got what he deserved. Just look at it this way. The POS Bruno commits the following crimes:

    1) Steals services by refusing to pay the cab driver
    2) Simple assault by repeatedly punching the cab driver
    3) Fleeing to avoid arrest by running from the scene of the crime
    4) Resisting arrest by pushing and pulling away from the cop
    5) Aggravated assault by attacking the cop which resulted in serious injuries to the officer.

A tragedy all the way around, but Bruno was a POS, and his own actions lead to his death. Now his gold digger widow is hoping to cash in on his tragic death? Even in Jackson County, Missouri she would have a tough time convincing a jury that she deserves some large wrongful death judgement against the city (taxpayers), police department (taxpayers), and the officer who was seriously injured by her POS husband.

As for a change of venue, she'd be a fool! Moving this case to a rural county, where the citizens tend to have far more common sense than do jurors in Jackson County, would not help her cause. It would assure the outcome in favor of the officer.

I feel for the Bruno family, and his friends on the fire department. But, blaming the officer for the conduct of their family member and friend is wrong. His own actions lead to his death, and the sooner you accept that, the better it will be for everyone involved.

  28. This story convinces people not to vacation in Kansas City. If some drunk firefighter doesn't kick shit out of you some cop might get a chance at you. We really need to rearrange the perspective of our public servants.
