SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY LIBERTY MEMORIAL STAYS LOSING MONEY AND HONOR!!!

Kansas City history and a white elephant of note that's not making much progress toward paying for itself . . .

KMBC: Liberty Memorial approaches Centennial without national designation

Deets:

"Today Missouri’s congressional delegation stands together to make the facility America’s official World War I museum and memorial. However, another World War I memorial currently stands in Washington, D.C.

The museum is already designated as the national museum for the United States. Kansas City residents hope that soon Liberty Memorial will receive the same federal designation.

Museum spokesperson Mike Vietti says that his colleagues are eagerly awaiting a piece of legislation that has recently passed the House of Representatives."

But don't count on it . . .

  4. The Liberty Memorial is a World Class stop for anyone who is, or is not, interested in History.

It's a great venue with a story to tell that everyone would be interested in.

    Seriously. It is fascinating.

I don't know what goes wrong with the budget. I am so busy finding clandestine places to suck cock and jack off window peeping on my neighbors, or taking pictures of Rock Fest Flashers.

  8. It's nice...yes, but after you've been once, why do you need to make another trip there? It's a stand alone destination.

It's not like the National Mall in D.C. where you go from place to place for the whole day.

  9. What happened to all the Cleaver cash Liberty Memorial supposedly received?

  10. Did Pendergast think they were going to move Washington to KC when they erected this thing. Just like the Negro Baseball Museum, the Jazz Museum and the National Military Monuments; when congress appropriates money for them you can bet your ass they wont be in Kansas City.
