ReplyDeletePlease note that many, if not most, of Bones' "CopBlock" friends refuse to back her on this one and thinks she is being completely stupid about a driving without a license ticket that could have been resolved the next day, with no fine, by going to the court clerk with her license and getting her ticket dismissed.

She's standing up for what she believes in, which is more than I can say for most of the people who comment here or on her social networking posts. In this country, we have the right to live the way we believe is right so long as it harms no one. Offering services and time in exchange for a fee is not only reasonable and done regularly for other minor non-violent offenses, but also for almost any other instance in which you could imagine exchanging money to someone other than a corporation or gang. Which is what the local authorities really are - a revenue collection group with violent thugs as collectors. EVEN IF THAT ISN'T YOUR OPINION, SHE HAS A RIGHT TO HERS AND TO ACT AND NEGOTIATE ACCORDINGLY. The fact that the judge refused proves that corruption is alive and well in Kansas City, which is exactly the reason my ex-KC cop uncle shot himself in the face. Whether it's because she's a woman (sexism is definitely perpetuated here in the midwest) or an activist (opinions that aren't red or don't align with that of enforcers typically are subject to both profiling as well as false incrimination) or even just because she came up with a solution that doesn't result in revenue, this judge is entirely unreasonable. He was offered another option to repay the "offense" and is now blackmailing her into incarceration. Who's the criminal again?
