Like a dog who's clenched onto his favorite bone and refuses to let go, Mr. DoBad forever repeats the false mantra that black Americans are VICTIMS and powerless to advance themselves. Now, if he wishes to poison his own well of thoughts with this outlook, that's his decision, but when he disseminates the poison into the community he's guilty of contributing to the delinquency of a whole race.
Let's examine some of his rhetoric.
"And the list is disturbingly long: Urban violence, poverty, poor education, isolation, single-parent homes, poor diet, food deserts, substance abuse and guns." Of course, everything listed applies to a great many urban residents of ALL races.

Mr. DoBad is actually quoting Councilman Pastor Brooks....he of genitalia sexting scandal with a woman (not his wife) whom he sought to "counsel"? And I'll let the reader make their own joke concerning Brooks at the "Lift Him Up" center!!
"African-Americans suffer disproportionately high infant mortality rates, gun violence, substance abuse, poor housing, unemployment, poor education, high incarceration rates, high cancer deaths, diabetes and other chronic illnesses." In this instance, Mr. DoBad lists a string of problems "suffered" by black Americans, yet stops short of explaining that they're self-inflicted maladies. Better to stick with the "victims of oppressors" theme, I suppose, as that allows his audience to escape responsibility. And therein lies the core of Mr. DoBad's maliciousness, he's a grand enabler of victimization, self-defeating actions, and surrender to become wards of the state.
"Attendees talked of reading more and turning off the media noise." Eureka, for here we find a golden nugget of truth hidden within Mr. DoBad's toxic waste. And, may I suggest that the first media turned off by the community be none other than Dr. DoBad's own writing. Dear reader, turn him OFF, and turn on to the positivity of your own initiative.

ReplyDeleteHow can someone be traumatized over slavery when they are 4 or 5 generations removed from it? Are Irish Americans suffering PTSD from the Great Potato famine? How about the Italians? The first Muslim conquest of Sicily and parts of southern Italy lasted 75 years back in 827 A D. I suspect they are still fucked up over that one. Any PTSD that the modern African American is suffering, is due to their own people and not slavery. The only exception would be the current spate of hate crimes in Compton where Hispanic gangs are eradicating blacks from the area.
