I guess that is why they forbid swimming outside of designated areas at Longview Lake -- morons!

Ban swimming pools. Too many accidents. Before you let your child visit a friend ask if they have a swimming pool.
ReplyDeleteI used to be a long distane swimmer. Let me tell ya' distance in open water like a lake is a shitload different than laps in a pool. Secondly, I was living at an apartment complex in KC North many years ago and sitting around the complex pool one Sunday afternoon a divorced lady who was part of our "group" had two daughters 4 and 6.All of a sudden we realized the 4 year old wasn't to be seen. I spotted her at the bottom of the pool and with another guy an off duty EMT we sprinted, dove and got her out while an ambulance was called. we tried every thing we could to no avail. Every story I see like that haunts me to this day.
