  2. RE: Dave Helling: Who should pay our public bills: users — or all of us?

Oh My Lord!!!! Helling is now resorting to the Lewis DoBad school of poor journalism techniques. What an utterly pointless, useless, nonsensical article we find here. He must have been running late and composed this one as he walked from the parking lot into the office.

    Helling is going to downhill.

  3. EXCLUSIVE!!!!
    BREAKING ALERT!!!!!

Dave Helling Announces Retirement From KC Star

A media advisor for Minneapolis-based General Mills confirmed on Thursday that Helling has been chosen to be the human personification spokesperson for their Pillsbury Doughboy.

Responses to this surprise announcement are coming in quickly this evening:

Steve Kraske--I've known Dave a long time and he's always been a great friend. In hindsight, I guess it's no surprise, he's come up with some real half-baked ideas over the years!

Dana Wright--I've always admired Dave's buns!

Eric Wesson--soft, white, and doughy......I'd say it's a good fit.

Barbara Shelly--Dave, don't stay in the oven too long, you'll get a Brown-back!!!!

    Mi-Ai Parrish--Dave who?????

Kevin Collison--General Mills is a Fortune 500 corporation whose stock price has steadily gained over the last 4-5 years, in contrast to the Star's parent McClatchy. Dave gets a "Gold Medal."

Stacy Cameron--did I ever tell you that I once was a baker?

Garrett Haake--Dave, remember me if you ever decide to leak the secret recipes. I'll give you a primetime slot.

Dave's Wife--Occupational hazard of yeast infections, are you serious?

Sam Zeff--Dave always rises to the occasion.

Mary Sanchez--Dave dejar algunas grandes recipientes vacĂos que llenar.

Scott Parks--Send me pictures of the Minneapolis tarts.

Nick Haines--I'm reminded of an old Welsh proverb: "Carreg a dreigla, ni fwsoga" or a rolling stone gathers no moss. Good luck buddy!
