Urban Land Institute Kansas City Movie Night!!!

One way or another, I'm sure local municipalities throughout the Kansas City area paid for these clips so it's worth it to give them a quick look.

CHECK OUT THIS CIVIC CLIPS FEATURING A WIDE ARRAY OF KANSAS CITY LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROJECTS THROUGHOUT THE METRO!!!

Actually, the clips are much more interesting then they might seem at first . . . As far as so many geeky amateur urban planners are concerned.

Take a look:

The movies are from an annual Urban Land Institute Kansas City awards gala where I believe they light their cigars with tax dollars.

Description:

"Urban Land Institute Kansas City’s Developments of Distinction Awards are an opportunity to recognize and celebrate projects and people in Kansas City that exemplify ULI's mission: to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. The Awards seek to recognize completed regional projects that demonstrate exceptional achievement of best practices in development."

Now to the clips . . .

Tom McDonnell Lifetime Achievement dedication . . .

Plaza Vista (West Edge???) development of distinction . . .

Here's a kinda cool clip celebrating the Golden Ghetto Prison Industrial Complex . . .

Let's hear it for a part of Happy Rock that isn't completely horrible . . .

Commonwealth Apartments are no longer a giant crack house . . . And that makes us all happy.

And with all of these clips, let's remember that nobody will ever play solo piano and talk about our good deeds unless we're dead.

Hopefully, we'll have more BREAKING/EXCLUSIVE NEWS, discussion, debate, discourse & all kinds of hateration and lots of good stuff coming up for the morning update: STAY TUNED!!!
