Whitaker now faces 20 felony counts
Mohammed P. Whitaker, dob: 5/20, 1986, now faces two additional felony counts in connection with the firing of guns at motorists on roadways in the metro area, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
A grand jury indictment released today includes the two counts which involve shots fired on March 18, 2014 at a vehicle in Blue Springs, on Interstate 70 near 7 Highway. The two new counts are the Class A felony of Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.*
In total, Whitaker now faces 20 felony counts. Eighteen were filed on April 18, 2014.
Whitaker remains in custody on a $1 million bond.
