TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! CELEBRATE THE URBAN CORE BUILDING BOOM REVIVAL: CAN JESUS SAVE MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY?!?!?

Sunday contemplation leads us to an ongoing Kansas City real estate trend which confirms that most people in this town only have faith in gentrification as a way to improve local life.

To wit . . .

THIS SUNDAY WE CELEBRATE MORE "GOOD NEWS" FEATURING KANSAS CITY FAITH COMMUNITIES INVESTING IN MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY AS THIS TOWN STAYS LOSING REAL JOBS!!!

Look and see TKC prophesy trend-spotting:

- Here's a really important look at the group buying up a lot of property in Midtown Kansas City under the radar and basically turning most of the work of (taxpayer subsidized) MainCor into a crusade for Jesus... Replant: Book and Case Study: Redeemer Fellowship Kansas City . . . "We need a lot more churches that are willing to be planted and grow alongside dying churches"

- Take look at a longstanding tradition of faith and service in the midtown corridor: Holy Family, Kansas City icon, after 40 years

- And again, this blog was FIRST to break news about El Torreon revival with more detailed reports from mainstream media providing all of the relevant deets about new plans for a market and place of of worship.

Given all of this "good news" the question should be sent forth:

WILL JESUS AND FAITH COMMUNITIES SAVE MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY?!?!?

TKC Perspective: In one of the most influential bits of media during the 20th Century, Lisa Simpson references Samuel Johnson and contends that "Prayer is the last refuge of a scoundrel." Accordingly, the Midtown Kansas City revival trend is worth noting if only because recent tech hype and toy train streetcar propaganda would lead us to believe that our urban core is adding jobs but the reality is that it seems like we've only been adding new churches and desperate people looking for salvation - which is nice but doesn't really generate the revenue of which local politicos have foretold.

Developing . . .

The Victorians thought it would be a good idea to have a church within walking distance of a neighborhood. Capitalismo really doesnt give a shit. Capitalism thrives in places like Communist China.

The only thing that will save them is more streetcar. Just ask Russ & Sly.

Will this have any impact on the Jaxco Sheriff's wife hostess-ing Orgies?

Good old Redeemer.

A Mark Driscoll offshoot that's got all the answers.

They save you from doing any scripture interpretation on your own...just sign on the dotted line that you agree to discredit hundreds of years of diverse biblical teachings and follow the herd.

Somebody better tell Jeebus that it's not smart to go out after dark around here.

Yes. What KCMO needs are more buildings that don't pay any property taxes to go along with the endless list of "developers" who get abatements, TIFs, and every other kind of giveaway possible.
Then what money's left can be used for glamour projects and each neighborhood can tax itself again with a CID so that they can have decent streets and maybe even some cops.
When you hve nothing going for you and can only give more away, the holes just get deeper and deeper.

Yes I've been noticing this inquisition happening under the radar.

I'm glad I moved out of KCMO proper. I don't want to pay taxes that subsidize these charlitans.

The fastest growing capitalist economies are former coldwar nations. Churches do not peosper growth. If anything they prove to inhibit economic growth

What about when the Puritans killed the Natives before that Thanksgiving forcing the first Thanksgiving to relocate in El Paso?

If prayer is the last refuge of a scoundrel then that explains why religion and finance are intertwined?
