We've noticed that security is rather intense @ most of Mayor Sly's public appearances nowadays but these are anti-tax white people who probably only plan to hold signs . . . So this SHOULD be cool if it comes off.
Still . . . The fact is that not everybody is on board with the toy train streetcar that's on track to bankrupt this town and more people are starting to speak up against the UNDEMOCRATIC taxing scheme.

Waste of time. Time would be better spent waking up voters and getting them out to crush the TDD vote in August like a flock of avenging angels.
ReplyDeleteVoters need to kill this proposed TDD. When the novelty of the starter line quickly wears off and the audience - customer-base tires of it and yawns, moving on to the next fad, then the 355 people downtown who voted for it can have their trolley and pay for it.
ReplyDeleteGiven just how demoralized the streetcar disciples and devotees are at this point since being defeated by citizens south of 51st St, they are probably thrilled to bend over and take it up the rear from the exalted, demigodlike, uber-genius-wizard Russ Johnson at this event.

ReplyDelete"citizens" south of 51st didn't ever object to the streetcar...in fact, they voted overwhelmingly for EVERY rail transit proposal in the last 25 years.
