The City Council campaign season has already started and Mayor Sly is showing more than a bit of favoritism for a Kansas City 4th District hopeful who is already a Missouri power broker.

One Kansas City Insider seyz:
"The Mayor ABSOLUTELY LOVES Jolie Justus for the 4th District. He thinks very highly of her and they have a wonderful working relationship. Mayor James CERTAINLY sees her as a future ally on the Council."
This is more bad news for longtime Kansas City neighborhood leader John Fierro who has started his campaign early and seems focused on making neighborhood connections.
It's also worth nothing that Council Lady Jan Marcason has already given her blessing to Jolie Justus and word is that local lady politicos are making a big push to keep this Council seat under "KANSAS CITY GIRL POWER CONTROL" . . .
The LGBT angle is important as well given that Mayor Sly needs more Midtown Kansas City niche allies now that his Internets credibility is coming into question.
All things considered, this Midtown Kansas City race is heating up and might soon start to get nasty.

No one should care about who she has sex with but they should care about how she intends to keep KC from becoming Detroit.
ReplyDeleteShe should provide specifics as to how to come up with 600 mil for pensions, how to balance what the city manager terms a structurally unbalanced budget, how to curb an out of control crime problem and how to improve first responder times. If she can come up with answers then vote for her. But if her answer is that bringing more hipsters downtown will solve the cities problems then she is as clueless as the rest.
No Catholic should even consider voting for Miss Justus and against John Fierro, a husband and communing member of the Church. I would hope Bishop Finn would explain the importance of this election Ex Cathedra.
ReplyDelete9:57. Agree with the "don't care who they sleep with" comment; however, the GLBT crowd keeps pushing that agenda to the forefront of all political offices they hold. They are as bad as social conservatives in pushing everyone to accept their version of morality.

Both would be establishment candidates which effectively means NO change from the current course at City Hall.

If the gay agenda is pushed too far then there will be a backlash that will marginalize the LBTG community again. The backlash will start with employers avoiding hiring gay people because they are too high maintenance and are possible litigation and boycott magnets.
How is voting for someone simply because of their gender and sexual orientation any less bigoted than voting form someone simply because they are white and male?
