This is important because it demonstrates that Mr. Washington leading the effort through grassroots participation in order to help police and help bring justice in a cold case. Like it or not, this kind of community involvement is what police encourage to help curb crime. If there is a solution to the current spate of shooting then it most likely involves more people stepping up to stand up against crime in much the same way as Mr. Washington.

ReplyDeleteI thought police detectives and the District Attorneys office solved this case based upon tips from the girls family members. How did Alonzo Washington solve this? It sounds like the family of the girl and the police/DA solved this case.

@12:28 - You forget your history bro. The police had given up on this case. Zo kept on pressuring the community for tips and he pressured police and prosecutors to follow up on the tips. He did the work that nobody else was willing to do. I don't always agree with the man but I give him credit for bringing justice in this case.

ReplyDeleteI commend him for his work on this case. But what has changed since then when there was a case of extreme violence and crime committed by black people? Absolutely nothing. They have gotten worse. The black culture of violence is an everybody multiple occurrence around the world. So is their unwillingness to help solve crime in any way. Their lot in life is nobodies fault but their own. They are getting worse and not better. In 500 years the same bad things will be said about then and they will all be true.

Alvin Brooks gets the red carpet all over Kansas City and hasn't done a damn thing, including solving crimes which he claims to be against. No, instead this fucker is committing crimes in the highest degree and pushing his fucked up Councilman on everybody in smelling distance.
