At the outset of this weekend KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS warned us of impending violence and it turns out they were totally right.
To wit . . .
MOST SUBURBANITES DIDN'T NOTICE THIS WAS A RATHER VIOLENT KANSAS CITY WEEKEND WITH A SPATE OF SHOOTINGS AND A COUPLE OF HOMICIDES!!!
Again, the gap between this year and last amid so called urban core "progress" when it comes to homicide and gun violence is beginning to shrink. Depending on who is counting . . . We're @ 28 or 29 homicides so far this year compared to 34 at this time last year.
Today proved exceptionally violent with a deadly police standoff and KANSAS CITY CARJACKING GUNFIRE JUST NOW . . . And so . . .
Like it or not, the KANSAS CITY SUMMER SEASON OF VIOLENCE AND HOMICIDE is now upon us. Seems like we're really just getting started.
Hopefully, we'll have more BREAKING/EXCLUSIVE NEWS, debate, discourse, more than our fair share of hateration and all kinds of good stuff coming up in just a few . . . STAY TUNED!!!

ReplyDeleteThis really stopped being news quite some time ago. Anyone with the wisdom of a first grader knows that KCMO is a lost cause that will continue to deteriorate. From the violent crime, political corruption and poorly chosen spending projects to the unaccredited schools and out of control thugs, it has gone too far downhill to try to save. I have friends that were born and raised in KCMO that I never thought would leave, and they're jumping ship like rats to places like JoCo, Lee's Summit and Parkville.

Duh, that's one of the main reasons we choose the suburbs. I couldn't care less if some dirtbag thug gets iced. I'm not saying never, but it's very rare that the so-called victims in these killings haven't gotten themselves involved in the wrong crowd doing the wrong stuff.
