THE KANSAS CITY MEAT MAN CHRONICLES

Check the sordid story of a Kansas City door-to-door meat dude who is now facing media and KCMO turning up the heat on his operation . . .

Fox4: "A door-to-door meat company that the FOX 4 Problem Solvers warned you about is now in serious trouble with the Kansas City Health Department.

We’ve been doing stories about problems with this company for more than year. This month Kansas City’s health department decided to pay it a surprise visit, but was refused entry.

In fact, the health department’s reception was a lot like the one we got when we paid a visit to the company, which is now operating under the name ‘Direct Foods.’ Last year it was ‘Ur Local Butcher.’ Before that it was ‘Ranchhouse Meats.’

And so . . . THE HUNT FOR THE KANSAS CITY MEAT MAN BEGINS . . . Which I'm hoping will be a porno parody one day soon . . .

  5. While it's good to give this company the bad publicity they deserve, this story is indicative of what I meant the other day about local media going after the "guppies" in the pond.

The station gets to give the impression that they're out there in the community fighting for consumers, and yet they admitted that they've been doing stories on this man for over a year. It's the gift that keeps on giving!

How about doing a corruption story on KCMO City Council? Cindy Circo...Pastor Brooks....Sly James & Family....any of these sound familiar?

FOX4 working for you...or pretending to work for you.

  6. My old lady bought 22 pounds of steaks from the guy yesterday for $100 (cash). Last night we had a couple of the filet mignons and they tasted great. That said, this story prompted me to reach out to the Health Department to see if there are any major safety concerns with the meat, of if the bigger problem is how they're ripping people off who use EBT or credit cards to buy the stuff.

Yes, I was initially irritated that my wife bought steak from a door-to-door salesman, but 22 pounds of steaks (21 now) in my freezer for the cost of one trip to a decent local steakhouse makes me think we got a decent deal. We'll see, I guess.

  7. ...and the real thing is KC ain't a bit different today than it was yesterday before those clipboard rocket scientists from the health department came to work yesterday. I am sure the company ran right out in fear and bough soap for the rest rooms.

  8. !2:41 your wife bought expired east bottoms steaks, lol.

Price chopper has them for 7.49 a lb this week so you are risking your life for 2.50 a lb.

This is why women get beaten
