SHOCK!!! KRIS KOBACH RADIO SHOW KAPUT DURING KANSAS ELECTION SEASON!!!

Kansas competitors for the Secretary Of State job could soon put the kibosh on the broadcasting career of Kris Kobach.

To wit . . .

FCC EQUAL TIME REGS WILL SOON TAKE KANSAS SECRETARY OF STATE KRIS KOBACH OFF THE AIR!!!

AP report: Kansas campaigns to force Kobach off radio show

Deets:

"Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach says he expects to give up hosting a Sunday night radio talk show while he campaigns for re-election. Federal regulations allow Kobach's political opponents to demand equal time. Morgan refused and said the program keeps Kobach from focusing on his state duties. Kobach said the program gives people access to an elected official."

In fact, The Kris Kobach show on KCMO 710 during the sweet spot of Sunday night @6-8PM (oy) is kinda tragic and speaks to a grand old time (about 5 years ago) before local talk radio was forced to provide more accurate stats and it turned out their audience wasn't as big as they thought . . . And then the ratings for most local talkers really tanked thanks to the Internets.

Anyhoo ... This is a setback for SOS Kobach given that he has always had a cozy relationship with local media and around the Midwest his wholesome beefcake good looks earn him more than a bit of kindness from newsies. Ironically, this stickler for rules and regs will lose his broadcast platform in a contest that's getting somewhat serious . . . For Kansas.

Developing . . .

It's a kind of sad statement about the popularity of a radio show when the first time most people hear about it is from an announcement that it's going off the air.
Now he and Brownback can get on the campaign trail and see who can out whack job the other.
Kansas is the country's laughing stock.
