Fox4 Deets: "A series of public meetings will be held this week explaining the future of bike paths in Kansas City. Just recently, road crews put in a bike path on Southwest Boulevard. They want the path to run on side streets all the way down the I-35 corridor to connect Kansas City, Kan., all the way south to Olathe."

The bike trails seem nice but they're overall part of a urban core beautification effort that OF COURSE brings a codes enforcement crackdown at the behest of Kansas City real estate speculators.

KSHB Newsie Garrett Haake covered a similar topic brilliantly in a report last week but the plan is clearly more insidious and really involves the same kind of Kansas City scheming that mimics the "white flight" which shaped the current suburban layout of Kansas City.
