Strong Move Toward The Kansas City Single-Terminal Monstrosity

Insider moves to push Kansas City toward more than a BILLION DOLLAR single-terminal airport mistake earned an endorsement among insiders this week with a few opposition votes but mostly a celebration of upcoming sweetheart deals for developers and politicos.

KCPD Probably The Only Thing That's Holding This Town Together

Credit where it's due . . . This week police did their best to curb the recent uptick in local violence and shooting while working to to engage the community in order to stop the warmer weather crime spree . . .

Jeff Roe And The GOP Remind Us That They Rule Missouri And The Midwest

Kansas City stands in the middle of Red State political strongholds in both Missouri and Kansas. A budget veto override, gun nullification winning and overall Conservative domination should be a strong reminder of who really runs the politics in this part of the nation.

Hipsters Prove Too Powerful To Stay Within A Budget

This week, Kansas City hype and propaganda machine pushed an attempt to cater to millennials and transit loving hipsters with new Internets applications and a continued focus on downtown luxury development at the expense of just about every other neighborhood in Kansas City.

This week these are the people and trends that shaped our local life . . . Like it or not.

As always, this list has been compiled according to scientific TKC polling and market research data and it's a weekly comprehensive guide to local powerful people.

  4. We apologize to the American Renaissance support group who attended the David Irving book signing on Goebles this past March. We had no idea TKC would interfere with free speech and revised history.

  5. LOL! this town is full of statists and grifters. If you don't vote them out there is no hope.

  6. Hipster CK? That's worth 50 Million per mile of track. What could possibly go wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  7. If Kansas City had their sports teams downtown next to PL and the Sprint Center, and the airport was not out in BFE, this town would be a lot different.

Sly needs an opponent. Nuff said.

  9. We'll see with the streetcar. If it remains only a quaint little track that runs from union station to the river market then it won't be used much. If it is the starter line to a metro rail hub at that 3rd street station that is to be built over the next 30 years then it will be money well spent.

  10. As a Republican I am completely at a loss as to what the hell the Missouri legislature is actually doing for the citizens of this state. The tax break sounds like a nice gesture, but what the hell are these Republicans doing to restore the rights of citizens and property owners who are being screwed out of their rights by the God Damn power hungry, regulation writing, bureaucrats in this state? The bullshit is out of control.

  11. Hipsters have fucked up MY CITY. How's that for real talk?

  12. Damn straight, this city needs new management. Shame on Sly and the rest of the bunch.

Let it hereby be decreed that henceforth anyone seen not wearing a Chiefs or MU/KU/KState shirt and talking about anything other than spectator sports will be labelled a "hipster" in this cornfed and braindead Rube Metropolis.

  14. Quiet you. And don't you dare get in the wrong car at arrowhead or things could get "serious".

  15. The only thing Roe rules, is the toilet when he sets his fat ass down to expel the same thing that comes outta his fat mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  16. 11:54 must smoke more than weed to have thoughts such as that.

    ReplyDelete
  17. This is also masturbation month too. I don't think that is a coincidence.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hopefully the last Republicans to turn out the lights in the Kansas statehouse to save money, just drop the keys off at the T-town tollbooth on your way out of town.

And on the Missouri side... is there enough money left for I-70 to set up tollbooths so we can privatize the interstate?

I just hate it when politicians burn the barn down because they don't really wanna sweep it out.

  19. @ 11:57 pm & 12:29 pm
The strategy is simple. Keep the public at large occupied with local and state issues while billionaires work towards keeping the white house blue and Congress as red as possible ensuring another 8 years of a do nothing Congress coupled with a nearly lame president.
    Or, something along those lines.
    99% remain stagnant.
    1% continue thriving.
