KANSAS CITY COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA COMMERCE BANK ROBBERY SATURDAY
A reminder that it's not just flash mobs and panhandlers who threaten Kansas City's premiere entertainment district:
KMBC: The robbery was reported at Commerce Bank at 118 W. 47th St. at 9:30 a.m.
KCTV5 reports FBI investigating this bank robbery
KSHB: According to police, the robbery happened around 9 a.m. Saturday at the Commerce Bank, located on the Country Club Plaza. The suspect allegedly had a weapon and threatened the teller both verbally and with a note.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-40s, approximately 6’2” and weighing 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and a dark gray beanie cap.
Astute TKC Readers often remind us that the Plaza is also home to a great many robberies, a rape or two more than occasionally and muggings that don't often make the news.
