Kansas City Chiefs Select Disappointing And Discount Dee Ford In The 1st Round NFL Draft

Once again the Kansas City Chiefs choose the least expensive option during the NFL draft.

Given the lack of an NFL caliber QB and a weak secondary this choice from the front office reminds us that they're mostly concerned about bottom line rather than chasing playoff victory.

LGBT advocates might also be disappointed that Michael Sam didn't get a serious look . . .

SI: Are the Chiefs beginning to prepare for life after Tamba Hali? The 2006 draft pick will turn 31 during the 2014 season and missed time last year due to injury issues. Whether that’s the plan or not, the Chiefs will have to figure out exactly what to do with Ford in 2014.

  5. Expensive or cheap has nothing to do with it. under the new agreement the rookie players are paid by where they are drafted for their first contract.
