Even more rules and regs enforced on Kansas City po'folk . . .
HAKC Adopts Smoke-Free Policy for Public Housing
The Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, (HAKC) Board of Commissioners approved a plan to make all its properties smoke free as of July 1, 2014. HAKC is considered one of the largest landlords in the city. The agency owns and manages 1,925 public housing apartments/single family homes in Kansas City. The policy will impact both residents and employees.
Not that many people will pay attention to this one . . . But I wouldn't want to be around cranky folks trying to kick the coffin nails in their subsidized Kansas City housing around Summer.
Developing . . .
What about air quality destroying lighter fluid lit charcoal grills?
ReplyDeleteTell them to ban those stupid urban backyard campfire types while they are at it.
ReplyDeleteWhat will they do with all their empty property's on July 2?
ReplyDeleteWhats next banning radiation particles from Fukushima?
ReplyDeleteAll those poor folks sure are lucky to have their betters looking out for their health and well-being. Bet they're just grateful as hell.
ReplyDeleteDidn't say a damn thing about the crack pipe thought.
ReplyDeleteHoodies don't smoke cigs...they are on the pipe and the herb.
Smoking ruins property and starts fires. If you live in housing on uncle Sam, you shouldn't abuse free stuff given to you which is better than working people get.
ReplyDeleteDrug test them too.
If you're living in housing I'm paying for via my hard work, why the fuck are you wasting your [my] money on cigarettes? You're too poor to put a roof over your head, but you can find a way to buy cigarettes? I suppose I'm paying for your medicaid too so your emphysema and lung cancer can get top shelf treatment, too.
ReplyDeleteI want to see the news reports of some poor sap trying to enforce the smoking ban in the ghetto. Make them quit going to the Plaza too while your at it.
