Inside Question 4: Renaming recognized emergency ordinances as ordinances with an accelerated effective date
To wit . . .
THIS QUESTION 4 CLAUSE REPRESENTS NOTHING MORE THAN KANSAS CITY POLITICOS ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE REPORTING RULES IN ORDER TO AVOID GETTING CALLED OUT BY OUR BLOG COMMUNITY!!!
Think about . . . NOBODY ELSE BUT OUR BLOGGY COMMUNITY in Kansas City calls out our local political class for their emergency ordinance maneuvering that's mostly aimed at pushing development work along without proper scrutiny by the public.
Kinda sad that they hid this on the ballot because they were tired of getting constantly embarrassed . . . Rather than, you know, being more up front with the voting public.
Tragically, we have a great deal of confidence that this measure will pass because people don't know what they're voting on . . . Still . . . We would be remiss if we didn't acknowledge Mayor Sly and City Council working to keep their actions more clandestine than EVAR.
