This morning an important perspective was sent our way that really looks at the big picture when it comes to a recent Kansas City transit hot mess.

To wit . . .

CHECK OUT A KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY DENIZEN CALLING OUT INTERNETS RIDE-SHARING RACISM!!!

We don't reveal our sources but, in fairness, we will acknowledge that this is a missive from a (really cool) white guy . . . Take a look:

"TKC, let's face it. The new ridesharing LYFT thing is for dumb white people afraid to ride the bus.

 "Have you heard of any minority population people loving this service?

"White people in major cities ride buses all the time, even as transfers to the subways. Only in Kansas City do we have a bunch of white idiots afraid to ride a bus. Then these same kind of people want the city to spend half a billion dollars to mimic bus transportation routes on rails instead of tires. This lyft thing is just as ridiculous."

Also, TKC is suspicious of the service if only because I think the handlebar mustache is some kind of hipster secret code that has something to do with gentrification.

    The bus can't get me to visit my parents in 15 minutes, Lyft can. I can't imagine the length of time it would take me to get from Brookside to North of the River on a bus.
