MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY AND ONE MORE QUESTION 1 WATER BOND ASK!!!

Take a look at the latest bit of Kansas City mail supporting the $500 Million Water Bond Question 1 Ask on the upcoming April 8th election.

What NOBODY will mention is that $23.7 MILLION OF THIS WILL FUND THE DOWNTOWN TOY TRAIN STREETCAR in a legislative move that confirms this Mayor and Council are working with absolute disregard for taxpayers.

Also, KCMO Insiders remind us that a water bond increase is basically just another tax increase using clever working. Also, the fear pushed in this campaign is that water rates will spike if it's not approved . . . Luckily, anybody paying attention to their bill can see right through this threat.

Nevertheless . . . Here's the glossy mailer hitting the streets with taxpayer cash paid directly to political consultants . . .Click the images for a bigger, better view . . .

Mayor Sly front and center once again . . .

Even if it's just stock footage . . . Hate it when they use kids on a campaign . . .

Low voter turnout is anticipated for what will be the LUCKY 7TH TIME Mayor Sly has asked Kansas City for more money.

Developing . . .

  1. Sorry Sly. I don't like you. I didn't vote for you. I'm tired of taxes and fees going up. There is no amount of household budgeting and management I can do to reduce my ever increasing costs of living in this city. I'm voting no on the bonds. And don't even think about asking for a charter change seeking more mayoral power. Not happening as long as you are mayor.

  2. Well said. I, also, will be voting NO on all issues that require the spending of money. This mayor has demonstrated he has no regard for a budget.

  3. Typical Liberal way of arguing. If you are against this, then you don't want clean water for our children. Right out of the Saul Slinky playbook, demonize your opponents.

Arguing with liberals is like playing chess with a pigeon; no matter how good you are at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, crap on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

We are going to get the water bonds, the toy train and the new airport. Sly and his cronies are going to get rich and leave Kansas City a waste land as they move to warmer places.

  6. is it legal for KCMO to use taxpayer money to print and mail fliers on political issues? is this not an ethics violation?

  7. Love how the marketing material says "no new taxes" and forget to mention that voting for it means a 10% increase on your water bill.

    VOTE NO ON APRIL 8TH!!!!!!

Vote no to keep your water bill from going up!

  8. SAVE OUR CHILDREN!
    Vote YES On Question 1

Your "yes" vote on April 8th will help ensure that Kansas City children have access to clean and plentiful water....as opposed to dirty, filthy, contaminated and scarce water. Do it for the children!

Disclosures: (The claims made in this ad may be construed by some readers as false, misleading, and exaggerated. If this bond issue passes, some of the money borrowed will be transferred towards costs associated with the streetcar construction. While we are making the claim that passage of this bond issue will not entail a tax increase for residents, in fact, residents should expect to pay more for their water usage regardless of this vote's outcome. We have no intention of voluntarily cooperating with an audit of the Water Department, as we feel the results would be negative to our agenda. Much better to collect the tax revenue and operate without public scrutiny. It is our intention to continually raise the overall tax burden on residents until circumstances absolutely prevent us from continuing on this path.)

  10. It will pass. KCMO residents never met a tax they didn't like. That's why I think the airport and street car will pass with flying colors.

KCMO residents would vote for the air they breathe if it came to a vote.

18th and Vine, Union Station, renovations for old stadiums, Sprint Center, P&L, the Zoo, Liberty Memorial, the big boom box…now the street car and airport.

  14. I'm voting No and I'm trying to educate people on why to vote No on this. This city has been raising our water bills and they just keep wanting more.

Its a cash cow for them, I can't believe Joe taxpayer can't see through this crap Sly is trying to pull.
