TKC NOTE: This quick hit for Kansas City Transit Activist Clay Chastain reveals a bit of local transit hypocrisy among our elected leaders. Take a look:
Morning Message From Transit Activist Clay Chastain
Kansas City, Missouri government's blatant self-serving hypocrisy was on full display at the final court hearing over whether their proposed expanded streetcar plan is constitutional, reasonable, and should be allowed to be placed before the voters in August:
A local news station aired a report and the following statement:
"Attorneys for the city said it SHOULD BE UP TO THE VOTERS TO DECIDE if the special assessment (streetcar taxing district) is reasonable."
Keep in mind this is the same government and its attorneys that have been saying for three years in 4 court rooms, that the voters should not be allowed to decide whether a light rail initiative... signed by 4,000 Kansas City, Missouri registered voters... is "reasonable!"

Does that Kansas City Activist even live in Kansas City anymore?
ReplyDeleteHe hates this town, that is why he wants to see it saddled with this nonsense.
Were it to succeed, he would be laughing his ass off all the way homes.
Trouble is, this "activist" is right this time.
ReplyDeleteClay PLEASE go home to Virginia! Your message is hollow and no one really gives a D$#%!
ReplyDeleteAnybody who uses the word "activist" to describe themselves should be sent out the door and told to get a job.
