KU Med Rock Chalk Nurse Crackdown

KC Biz Journal and today's important medical industrial complex agreement: "The University of Kansas Hospital Authority Board has voted to reject the nurses union's contract proposal and instead adopt one that reduces pay for night and weekend shifts. The Kansas University Nurses Association, which represents about 1,400 nurses, has been bargaining with the hospital since about July."

  1. Keep the pay cut to nurses in mind when you nest think of using KU Med Center hospital. Over worked and underpaid nurses may not be able to give the highest level of care. Remember to the nurses are the ones who keep us alive when we are there.

  5. Shitheels and scoundrels at KU would rather pay nurses to hand out water bottles and band-aids in KUMC polo shirts at Royals games than do their job, which should be taking care of the sick.
