  2. What happened to MEAN Jean and TOUGH ON CRIME Sly?

This is why people lose elections.

I'm sure the Republicans would be happy to know he's on the streets.

No one in KCMO has ever lost an election because of not doing anything about violence and homicides, no one on the police board has ever had their appointment revoked, and no police chief or anyone in the department has ever been fired.
And, likewise, the streets are poorly maintained, roads flood when it rains, the sewer and water departments are terrible, and the beat just goes on and on.
The residents/voters in KCMO gave up on all this a very long time ago which is why they just approved a $500 milllion bond issue with just an 8% turnout and Sly became mayor with just 21% of the registered voters.
You have a giant publicly-funded ATM machine with a bunch of hacks giving away the PIN number to the highest biddder and biggest insider.
Sly is unlikely to even have a serious competitor in the race.

  8. Word on the streets is that some members of the victim's family is trying to raise 10% to help him post bail.

    You know why...don't you?
