Let's call this the only bit of Kansas City Good News today . . .
NBC Action News: Family members said Sunday that the 10-year-old victim of a shooting at an East Kansas City gas station will be able to walk again.
Now, if we were to get a bit too critical we might say that this is a fact check to newspaper reports that jumped the gun about the kid being paralyzed or at least mischaracterized the injury . . .
But, it's best not to question Easter miracles too much lest the whole stack of cards upon which Western Civilization is built might come crumbling down.
Instead . . .
THANKS TO KSHB FOR BRINGING THE GOOD NEWS AND CORRECTING THE NEWSPAPER IN REPORTING THE THE KID CRIPPLED IN A SHOOTING WILL NOW WALK AGAIN!!!
And I guess we better now dwell on the circumstances of the shooting or what the deal was with the guy who got killed . . . Some say that's actually a pretty scary situation in and of itself.
Anyhoo . . .
Thank Jesus or medical science or the Sunday media news cycle . . . The important thing to understand is that life somehow finds a way to move forward amid so much tragic local violence that so often does not spare children . . .

That really is good news. Now we have to figure out what to do so that this kind of thing does not happen again.

ReplyDeleteGood for him. Now it's time for the East side to give up the shooter. I bet at least a dozen people know who the shooter is. Hopefully the kids don't turn into what 90% of the black male is on the East side either but I have my doubts.

Anyone who saw the video of the shooter on the local news witnessed a feral animal casually shoot point blank into an open car window. 2 kids and one adult. Here's the rub, the people who should be most outraged over an absentee Justice Department will vote the same in lockstep come election time. It has to leave a shitty taste in their collective mouths. Selling out their own people, selling out their childrens futures, just to cling to that victimhood class and a few crumbs of free shit and entitlements.
