First Lady Michelle Obama Graduation Invite Offers Kansas Students Regret Life Lesson

More than 1,700 people as of Saturday night have signed an online petition that asks a Kansas school district to reconsider its plans to have Michelle Obama speak at a high school commencement next month.

Strange that Dead Tree Media is burying this tale of somewhat local rejection of the first lady . . .

In fact . . . Mainstream media is trying to push the ticket angle that only tells half the story ...

IN FACT, THE REALITY IS THAT A GREAT MANY KANSAS HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES REJECT THE FIRST LADY AND HER UPCOMING SPEECH ON CIVIL RIGHTS HISTORY!!!

The fact of the matter is that these future middle-managers simply "don't wanna hear it" and this is the first time in a long time (since Hillary) that there has been so much antipathy toward the First Lady . . .

Take a look from better news outlets . . .

NY Daily News: "The parents of Topeka, Kan. high school students believe a visit from first lady Michelle Obama would politicize the graduation by focusing on the 60th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Brown v. Board of Education outlawing segregation in schools."

ABC News: “This will be a once in a lifetime experience for our graduates and their families, and we are looking forward to making it a very special time for everyone,” Topeka Public Schools said in a press release, pointing out that it invited Obama to speak there.

  1. How sad for those graduates and their families.

Wonder if te families and kids will show her what they think by turning their back to her or booing her.

Or yelling go back to China on our tax dollars.

Talk about the government shoving it down your throat. These kids will grow up remembering how the Democrats ruined their graduation. Not to mention their relatives.

  4. All the parents should plan a PRIVATE graduation ceremony and demand the diplomas be handed over by the schools to them and their children ahead of time.

The Evil Obama beast can stay home.

  6. Of course they don't want to politicize it. That's what Country Club Plaza gave for an excuse for allowing David Irving Holocaust denier on his book tour.

  7. Commemorating the Brown decision is fine. Even doing it in Kansas is OK. But legitimate questions can be asked if a high school graduation is an appropriate venue to mark the anniversary. There is a national historic site that marks the place where the school involved in the Brown decision used to be located. That might be a more appropriate location for Mrs. Obama's remarks.

The speech will be billed as "non-political" but that's impossible. The context of the First Lady's remarks will be nothing but political and you can bet there will be veiled references that accuse Republicans of "wanting to go back" to segregated schools. Otherwise, what's the point of sending her out there in the first place?

Not much chance the school board will withdraw the invitation. But maybe Mrs. Obama will take the hint and decline to attend. The day should be focused on the kids and parents and not become a photo op to advance the administration's political agenda.

  8. The Nazi Socialist Movement got to speak on the Jackson County Courthouse steps and they want to run a candidate for the Presidency in 2016. So sit down and listen to Michelle Obama, don't come or if you Tea Billy up and bring guns you'll gets your asses kicked. This isn't the Bunny Ranch out West.

  9. If the Zulu Queen is allowed to speak to the Topeka grads, the polar bear should be invited to give the response.

That would be world class. Zulu Queen vs The Bear

  10. “This will be a once in a lifetime experience for our graduates and their families, and we are looking forward to making it a very special time for everyone,” This is sad. A once in a lifetime opportunity... for what? Are we not subjected by the presence of our rulers every day of our lives? And at what cost?

  12. Topeka Kansas.. Really?

Who in the hell thought this was a good place for Obama's politicization of a graduation of white republican jayhawker, right to work, redleg regulator kids. C'mon.

    Michelle and Topeka...Paleeze!!!

  13. ... and I'm sure Michelle Obama won't take a moment or two from her speech to talk about the recent changes to the teacher tenure law. I'm sure she won't mention that at all.

  14. I dont think the parents in Topeka want to have to put up with such a massive entourage that either Obama rides around with. All the commotion and attention will be about her and her motives. You really think the students are fans of her after what she pushed for school lunches?

She is a nanny state liberal.

  16. Barbara Bush is more of a first lady to me. She doesnt have all the deep seeded anger and hate that I believe the current first lady has.

How can she be for true achievement and education when she called for the hiring of law school faculty based on race and gender and not on academic merit?

  17. Despicable behaviour of the students. She is an invited guest speaker. Personally I have no idea as to why she would accept such invite to a shitteHole dump in Kansas. Maybe she should take one of the invitations in Hawaii instead.

  20. Stereotypical angry black woman...people have every right to voice their opinion and protest...fact is the Obama's would never allows their children to attend a school like the one in question and consistently oppose giving families any opportunities for families to find better educational options...in short...when it comes to education the Obama's are absolute hypocrites...that is a fact that cannot be ignored by even Obama supporters.

  21. If I was a parent of a child's graduation being ruined by the first lady that hates white people more than God hates sin; I would be picketing and booing her and peacefully protesting and just plain embarrassing her and Husband Hussein

I would form Parents Against Politicizing HS graduations and have a delegation ready to talk to the New outlets that will swarm these kid's bid event that was meant for them not a photo op and appeal to Obama's negroid base to try to stem the rising tide of change this coming November.

  22. Go to the bank on this, The Bear has never voted a straight political ticket. Never. The Bear has always voted for the best candidate rather than a political party. Well that has changed thanks to Hussein Obama.

This next election the Bear will vote for every Republican candidate. I don't care if the candidate is a convicted criminal, the Bear votes Republican until Obama and his race baiting, do nothing collection of taxpayer thieving assholes are voted out of Washington and every other state.

Who would have ever thought we would be wishing for the old days of George W. Bush ? Oh for those days. ABO.....ANYTHING BUT OBAMA...

While the Bear does not agree with many Republican policies, they are better than what we are getting from Obama, Ophrah, and Al Sharpton.

Ever wonder why so many people consider your state the armpit of America?
