This week City Hall has dreamed up yet another silly social media scheme to that Kansas City residents without critical thinking skills can fool themselves into believing that their local government isn't mostly concerned with propaganda rather than providing neighborhood services. To wit . . .
FOR EARTH DAY THIS WEEK KANSAS CITY IS HOLDING A "TRASH BASH" EVENT WHERE CITY HALL WILL PRETEND TO CARE ABOUT SO MUCH LOCAL GARBAGE!!!

City hosts Trash Bash litter pickup for Earth Day
The main point:
"Residents are encouraged to pick up trash in their own neighborhoods or around their places of business during the week of April 21-25 and tweet photos during their clean-ups to @KCMO (using #kctrashbash). Photos also can be posted at facebook.com/kcmogov."
Meanwhile . . . I doubt this town will ever bring back regularly scheduled bulky item pickup which is the best thing City Hall ever did for local neighborhoods and all the po'folk in our metro playing the part of Fred Sanford to one extent or another.
