TKC QUESTION: WILL KANSAS CITY BURN?!?

More than a few tragic circumstances threaten to scorch Kansas City as the weather gets warmer.

Here are just a few . . .

- Already the warmer weather has increased the Kansas City murder count.

- Drought conditions worsen throughout the Midwest.

- Tempers always get hotter amid election season.

Already wild fire approaches: Large wildfire burns west of KCI Airport

And so . . .

KANSAS CITY INSIDERS FEAR THAT WARMER WEATHER COULD SOON BURN KANSAS CITY?!?!

Overall global climate change isn't helping things out along with the fact that local politicos are more interested in doing eco-devo work that results in campaign donations rather than focusing on any of the bigger issues that may soon impact Kansas City.

  11. KC drought means river traffic will slow to a crawl. We aren't the city of fountains anymore, we aren't river city. What's left?

  12. Yep, 9:47 you are correct. A whole lot of places are needing to figure out that very thing as we enter the long economic decline.
But, i imagine we'll just clap like lemmings at our sports and keep staying stupid. Reinvention and admitting an old model no longer works is a difficult thing.
