It's Snake Saturday in Kansas City and that gets us thinking about the low down on local festivities in this town.
Of course the Snake Saturday Parade in NKC is one of the biggest in the Midwest and the Brookside Warm-Up Party is also a nice neighborhood and political fest.

That alone isn't racist . . . At least we don't think so . . . But there's no denying that these small parties are now the dominant St. Paddy's celebration while a lot of people are skipping out on the Midtown/Downtown Parade altogether.
Is this intentional or just a lucky circumstance?
You decide . . . But there's no denying that demographics suggest that the rise of "Snake Saturday" and decline of the St. Paddy'S Parade signal the local Irish changing their tune about where and with whom they'd like to party.
