TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! SHOW-ME REP. JEREMY LAFAVER WEED FORGIVENESS AND NO CONSEQUENCES FOR KANSAS CITY POLITICAL SCANDAL!!!

There's no denying that it's open season in Kansas City.

Here's a fun fact that NOBODY IN TOWN IS REPORTING because it stings just a bit too much . . .

After an arrest for marijuana possession and guilty plea last year, Missouri House Rep. Jeremy Lafaver will win another term because he's uncontested in the upcoming election.

You read that right . . .

KANSAS CITY'S WARD PARKWAY CORRIDOR IS SENDING THEIR POT HEAD STATE LEGISLATOR BACK TO JEFF CITY FOR ANOTHER TERM!!!

And right about this time I guess I'm glad that I stopped listening to rich, white people talk about higher standards and excellence a long time ago.

Strangely enough, Rep. Lafaver isn't the only Kansas City elected official who has encountered problems with the reefer.

LET'S NOT FORGET THAT KANSAS CITY SCHOOL BOARD DUDE AND TOY TRAIN STREETCAR ADVOCATE GUNNAR HAND WAS ALSO BUSTED FOR WEED POSSESSION!!!

In fact, since Gunnar Hand is part of the crew that runs KCPS and our long, suffering Kansas City schools . . . It's strange that mainstream media won't even mention his weed charge.

BRIGHT SIDE: IF KANSAS CITY OVERLOOKS WEED CHARGES AGAINST POLITICOS . . . ARE NOW ONE STEP CLOSER TO MISSOURI LEGALIZATION?!?!

And since this might be a day of forgiveness . . . Let's not forget that Councilmember and Pastor Brooks has escaped pretty much unscathed after showing off his manchicken and ending up on the evening news.

Word is . . . Council Brooks could be back for a reelection bid that he might even win.

And just recently . . .

Council Lady Cindy Circo is once again conflicted BUT Dead Tree Media dude Dave Helling has absolved her of any wrongdoing for reasons that nobody can really understand and don't have anything to do with her long history of questionable votes.

Accordingly  . . .

EITHER DEMOCRACY AND ACCOUNTABILITY HAVE DIED IN KANSAS CITY AND ONE OF YOU D-BAGS FORGOT TO TELL TKC . . . OR . . . KANSAS CITY IS NOW KINDER, GENTLER AND MUCH MORE FORGIVING!!!

I'd like to think that Kansas City is growing more tolerant and maybe I'll be included in more local group hugs.

Then again, I look at the comments and realize how nasty some of you d-bags can get. Also, if this is the quality of local elected officials . . . I'm not taking any more guff from women because TKC is an aficionado of curvy ladies in bikinis and lingerie.

But more important than any of that is today's question . . .

IS IT RIGHT FOR KANSAS CITY TO KEEP WEED SMOKERS, SEXTERS AND SCAMMERS IN OFFICE?!? IS THIS AN EXAMPLE OF POLITICAL FORGIVENESS OR THE ELECTORATE DISENGAGING FROM LOCAL DEMOCRACY?!?!

We'll have more on this but for now we're asking the kind souls who read TKC is they are forgiving of these politicos who stay winning and stay in office . . .???

Developing . . .

  1. Surprised that no republican dared to get in the race. Not even a lawyer was brave enough. I wonder if police will stop charging for marijuana now?

By Travis Perry │ Kansas Watchdog

OSAWATOMIE, Kan. — It took the Kansas Legislature a grand total of 336 days to go from the signing of new drug testing laws to the day lawmakers actually implemented punishing elected officials who test positive for an illegal substance.
Afterward, lawmakers would be required to submit to further testing at various intervals. A second positive test would mandate another round of substance abuse treatment and denial of pay for a full year. At three strikes, lawmakers will be financially cut-off.

There’s a catch: Federal law, namely the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, would prevent a lawmaker’s positive drug test from being revealed outright to voters.

IN KANSAS, THERE'S ALWAY A CATCH FOR THE JUST-US CROWD. MAYBE YOU CAN DO BETTER IN MISSOURI TO PROTECT YOURSELVES FROM YOUR HALL OF SHAME GRADUATES. AS IN KICK THEM ALL OUT.

WAITING FOR THE ALL POWERFUL FROM THE LAND OF OZ TO COME UP WITH LAWS TO PROTECT THE TAXPAYERS FROM CLOWN SCHOOL GRADS FROM SHOWING US THEIR JUNK.

  12. Excellent article TKC!

The answer in a word is "APATHY"!

Most people have tuned out of all things "political", except as a form of entertainment. Since the days of Watergate, at least, the public has grown accustomed to the sociopathic personalities that seek out political office for all the wrong reasons.

Of those remaining, who are trying to pay attention, many get caught up in the false "right/left" debate and spend their time arguing instead of identifying and solving the real problems.

On the national level, one only has to witness the current preliminary machinations in-play for a possible 2016 Hillary Clinton versus Jeb Bush contest! RIDICULOUS!
Hey America, which flavor do you want Poison or Poison?

  13. Test Crystal Williams for Illegal Substances3/26/14, 1:00 PM

Let us not forget that through all this smoke lurks the personage of Crystal Williams -- who is close with Hand and LaFaver. In addition, Crystal's campaign manager Lisa Honn was banned from County employment for several years after flunking a drug test that she had to take when she applied to be Crystal's aide.

Which says to me that Bob Stringfield should challenge Crystal to a drug test and make the results public! Crystal and her husband DEAL and no one in her family including her emotionally troubled son could pass a drug test.

  15. Stringfield can run on reform issues3/26/14, 1:12 PM

Lisa Honn Bindley should not be eligible for JaxCo employment at all after flunking that drug test. The Director of Personnel who waived the rules for Lisa was just reassigned when she was caught engaging in other corrupt activity related to the 1.4 Million of our money that went out the door this week.

  16. Just the facts Ma'am3/26/14, 1:47 PM

Tony I think you forgot to mention the exploits of County Legislator Theresa Garza: 1) probable biological offspring of a mobster who was found dead in the trunk of his car without his hands; 2) Sent to join the Navy in order to gain self-discipline when she fucked around a lot and nearly flunked out of school; 3) In the Navy, she secured a series of Abortions resulting from her lack of self-discipline and fucking around; 4) As a civilian a series of fucked up relationships including several divorces and one boyfriend commiting suicide; 5) A failed parent whose daughter turns to prostitution as a means to act out; 6) Morbid obesity resulting from guilt over multiple abortions and divorces; Lucky 7) Commission of fraud in order to file for candidacy in Kansas City Council race. 8) Daughter returns home and promply gets knocked up and "has to get married."

Now there is a record of personal failure that even the Kennedys would blanch at!

When Theresa Garza is the competition, a few pot smokers do not have the chance to garner much negative attention.

  17. I do like the idea of Williams and Stringfield submitting to drug tests with the results being made public.

  18. No accountability anymore for your actions, this teaches the next generation to do your own thing it doesn't really matter you will be forgiven, forgotten or shrugged at for what you've done.

  19. 2:00 PM So Sharon Mathis' actions have resulted in three generations of fucked up women so far?

    ReplyDelete
  20. The next generation see that a career in politics and government are clearly the path to take. School boards members pulling $350 thou a year with unlimited luxury travel, commissioners with 5013c's pulling in big buck grants for personal use, mayors screw up cities and then on to a high paying jobs and the beat goes on.

  21. How about all the lawyers in public office because they would stave to death in private practice.

  22. Starve to death no. They go to a local college and teach political science. The next generation needs to be taught crime pays.

  28. I wouldn't care if they didn't enforce it for everyone but that's not hiw it goes. The young, poor, not connected are fined heavily or put in a cage. These criminals have one thing going for them - they're willing to kiss the right asses.

  29. I would rather have a weed smoker represent me rather than a "pole smoker" wearing a bow tie.

  30. Whoever is saying those things about the officials that are not criminal acts and are personal matters completely unrelated to their public service has a special place in hell. You must be a miserable piece of shit to talk about abortions and children. I hope these people get the guts to sue some day. Politicos and what they've done in office, or anything they've ever done illegal is fair game but their children are off limits god dammit. And accusing an elected official of drug dealing? You do know that this blog isn't really anonymous, right? One subpoena is all it takes.
