Show-Me Missouri Right To Work Fight

STL Public Radio Report on the real fight this session among the Missouri General Assembly and the biggest upcoming defeat for the Democratic Party super-minority: “Right to work” – dubbed “right to work for less’’ by critics – would bar unions and employers from requiring all workers to pay union dues or a service fee if a majority votes to join a union. Conservatives and some business groups contend that "right to work" protects workers from unfair union pressure, and cite the fact that 24 states now have "right to work'' provisions, including the once-strong labor states of Indiana and Michigan."

  4. So the CofC has workers best interests at the top of their agenda??? Workers united against workers uniting? The new minimum wage works out for the best, since you can still get SNAP and the free cell phone!

  5. Unions caused their own demise, I am a union member and will admit that cronyism has killed them. None of the BAs in 101 have a college degree, not that it makes you any smarter, but the majority of them got in because of someone they knew.Half are functional alcoholics and do little organizing, they care only about themselves. A good education in personnel management would benefit not only them but also the members of the union. It used to be they were guaranteed a 40 hour week for pay, now they make 6 figures, free car, trips, expense account and DOUBLE retirement. this kind of shit has to stop before unions make a comeback, they are simply reflections of gubmint themselves.
