Unlike Dead Tree Media attempting to help Mayor Sly and the City Council loot the KCPD pension fund by pushing local control . . . It's kinda pointless to talk murders when this town has been relatively peaceful during the EPIC cold spell.
However . . .
THE KANSAS CITY THAW-OUT AFTER WINTER ALREADY LOOKS EXCEPTIONALLY VIOLENT AND DEADLY!!!
Even tonight we notice a violence spike and now this town is up to double digits when it comes to murders:
Fox4KC: Discovery of a dead body in a car prompts homicide investigation
KMBC: Man shot dead in parking lot near 23rd Street, Interstate 435
KSHB: Homicide investigators are looking into the death of a man found slumped over in a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
Update . . . This is probably appropriate place to also note a stir regarding regional outcry over the discovery of a dead baby tonight: Infant’s body found at recreation area owned by University of Central Missouri
Just a few things . . .
- Terminology Change: Suspected murders are now "suspicious deaths" and gunshot details where homicide is a likely option are now used sparingly.
- We hear that hot spot districts are being divided up once again in an effort to increase effectiveness.
- Political control of the police has never reduced the murder rate, just obscured stats . . . Ask St. Louis.
And so the local homicide count marches forward as this town celebrates Fat Tuesday with a typical return to violence and deadly celebration . . .
Developing . . .
East side murder. They don't call it Killa City for nothing.
ReplyDeleteBullets for my snitches!
ReplyDeleteAt 1130 this morning, this blog officially exceeded a 90% comment mark of meaningless, single vowel spewing rants involving 14 year old angry boys who get their ass kicked by their Mom's because they wont pick up their room.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder Tony gets wood over mention on a local PBS outlet.
Dear Mr. Tony: Thanks for posting this info. I suspect, based on the experience of other cities around the nation, that the much colder than usual winter has held down the homicide rate in KCMO. In Chicago, which has had more snow in 2014 than in any year on record, homicides in 2014 stand at 32 compared to 47 at this point in 2013. In NYC in February 2014 there were 14 homicides--compared to 27 in 2013. With the winter coming to an end, we may be seeing the return of high homicide totals in KCMO. Take care!! In Christ, Ernest Evans
ReplyDeleteCities from every geographic region of the country are beset by the problem (black violence), which in turns drive away productive citizens, their taxes and their businesses for safer real estate.
ReplyDeleteThe only common variable each time is black people.
Not guns.
Not drugs (nor the CIA).
Not Democrats.
Not high fructose corn syrup.
Black people.
Be it Kansas City, Knoxville, Tennessee or Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the violence found plaguing these cities is uniquely black.
If the government would just take our guns away, there would be no murder or any crime. (sarcasm)
ReplyDeleteProfound and on point statement of the problem @ 8:55. The negro is the common denominator.
ReplyDeleteshut up polar douche. You're an idiot who doen't know shit.
ReplyDeletewhat about that Chinese guy who stabbed all those people?
Another 3rd District murder under the leadership of Jermaine "Adhoc Groupie Against Crime" Reed. If this Councilman isn't the laughing stock of politics, I don't know who is... or maybe Fifth District "wang waiver" runs a close second.
ReplyDeleteAgree with the editor per usual.
ReplyDelete9:58 Dumbass. That was in China.
ReplyDeleteKC is too violent.
Deletethey needed stabbing...move along
ReplyDeleteCan't we all just get along?
ReplyDeleteWhy is this even news Tony? I guess its a filler for you on this blog and I get that, but KC has a 100+ homicides a year, and that has been the case for many years...so news would be either a reduction in Homicides in KC or a spike in homicides out of the norm as far as tally goes at the end of the year!
ReplyDeleteSimply Darwin's law of natural selection...Time to quit worrying about nature.
ReplyDeleteBullshit. If it was white people they would call out the national guard.
ReplyDeleteHey 11:34, you are right. If over 100 white people got murdered annually, the national guard would be called out? So What! There are not 100 murders of white people EVER. The reality is that this is black on black crime. Now what.
ReplyDeleteSeparate is not equal. If our city has violence in one part, it will effect all parts. You can't hid in the suburbs forever. We all have to solve this problem together. That's what now.
ReplyDelete12:32 Sing, kumm byyyy aaahhhhhhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteSing you bastard !!!!
ReplyDeleteCall it whatever you wish. It's still niggers being niggers. It's that simple! Niggers are maggots on the carcass of society.
ReplyDeleteIt's correct to say thatif there were 100 homicides in a majority white community, we'd call out the national guard.
ReplyDeleteBut it would be the white residents who would demand that be done.
In the black community what passes for leadership demands that the police NOT do what's needed to round up the thugs. They threaten to accuse the police of profiling, harrassment, and using excessive force, and there's no cooperation at all in providing information. And do everything they can to discourage the cops from helping to clean up the neighborhoods.
And the police know they can't count on the mayor, council, and police board to have their backs.
So who will be the first east side leader to demand that the governor call out the guard?
Don't hold you breath.
Call in Alonzo, he'll fix it.
ReplyDeletepop pop pop!!!! watchin de nigger die...pop pop pop die nugger die!
