Outsourcing is impacting Kansas City once again and this time Kansas City is losing jobs to St. Louis.
Thankfully, these local are organizing online to try and fight the bit of outsourcing.

I am contacting you to ask for your support in keeping jobs in Kansas City, MO.
Recently Laclede Gas Co. announced its plans to close the MGE call center in midtown Kansas City and relocate the operation to St. Louis. This represents the loss of 225 jobs in Kansas City. Furthermore, the closing of the MGE call center will result in a vacant building in the heart of Kansas City and negative financial impacts on surrounding businesses.
If the MGE call center employees are forced to relocate to find employment, Kansas City faces losing population, school population, and the earnings tax that the City of Kansas City collects to maintain its infrastructure.
As a voter and taxpayer, I urge you to contact Laclede Gas Co. and tell them to keep these jobs in Kansas City ....
