ReplyDeleteI don't ever recall school being cancelled in the 70's or 80's because of cold. Snow, yes, but cold, no. I'm betting this is more of a response to a potential lawsuit rather than actually thinking a kid is going to get frostbite in 5 minutes waiting for the bus.

All it would take is one child to miss the school bus and die from exposure. Or one school bus to slide off the road on and icy road. Better safe than sorry. Life is too precious to take that kind of chance with our children. Can't we at least protect them from that?
