  4. Describing the Kansas Legislature session as "the silly season" is making light of something very serious and disturbing.

    The face remains that a majority of the Kansas House voted in public for legislation that would have made gay people in Kansas exactly like Jews in Nazi Germany. All it lacked was making them wear an emblem so that righteous citizens could tell, without getting too close, that people officially classified as subhuman were nearby ... the Germans, always more efficient, made homosexuals wear pink triangles. Jews had to wear yellow Stars of David.

    Doesn't matter that allegedly wiser minds prevailed. Most of the people in the Kansas House behaved like Nazis and made no apology about it. That in itself is utterly frightening and will make people all over the country conclude that Kansas is not longer fit to be part of the United States. And maybe they're right.

    When you actively attempt to destroy the country, that is called treason. People who do it are called traitors. That is punishable by law.
