Internets tough guys love this kind of story but the fact is that it's a home/gun owner's worst nightmare, last resort and usually a lifetime regret.

In this day and age with police officers in every city but for New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco encouraging homeowners to arm themselves, breaking and entering is nothing but suicide by proxy.

ReplyDeleteHmmmm, a LITTLE regret maybe, but between someone entering my house and harming my wife and child and regret, sorry the 12 ga wins and the intruder dies. Except for a little ringing in my ears, I'll sleep just fine. Handguns are fine if you train with them weekly in many scenarios, you can't imagine how hard it is to retrieve a handgun hope it's chambered and find the safety in the dark just out of a sleep. Home defense shotgun with 18" barrel, rack it aim it if the sound of a shotgun being chambered doesn't make the intruder shit his pants the next thing that happens will.
ReplyDeleteI was awoken by the gunshots fired in this incident. I am used to gunfire, living in Marlborough as I do, but what caught me as strange about these shots is that there was more time between shots, as if the shooter were recovering and aiming between shots, as apposed to the usual spray and pray technique. Too bad this city is so violent and dirty.
