From having the 19th highest state and local tax burden in the country and a grim economic outlook to a record number of new business filings, over 40,000 new jobs created, the 10th lowest unemployment rate in the nation at 4.9%, and rising to 5th in the nation per capita in new economic development, things in Kansas are truly looking up.

And no matter how you might feel about taxation . . . The fact is that Kansas City, MO remains at a competitive disadvantage in the economic border war that still rages despite the assurances of Missouri politicos who are only negotiating with each other.

Everything is better in Kansas. The bonus is there is no Urban Summit,Freedom, Inc., Black Agenda, or any other political class of hangers-on. Truly, Kansas has figured it out.

ReplyDeleteWith the help of Rex and his gang, Missourians are encouraging Kansas city small businesses to move to JO (not KCK) to eliminate payment of all income and "E" taxes. This may solve a lot of the problems you seem to have with Kansas city.
Face it, KCMO is a shithole. It has been for awhile now. No wonder business wants to move to the KS side.
