Kansas City Columnist Mary Sanchez Blames Everybody For Immigration Hot Mess!!!

Right now, columnist Mary Sanchez offers her naive view of the not-so-lively immigration debate.

Check it:

Mary Sanchez: Obama and Republicans share blame on immigration policy

The attempt to include a political jab @ (now mostly lame duck) Prez Obama seems to play to our local Conservative crowd.

In reality, Red State reactionaries take a much firmer stance on immigration than of the discourse currently involved in the D.C. debate . . .

Luckily, hardcore Conservatives in Missouri and Kansas are easily discounted and taken for granted because they don't hold much influence even over family members who have to endure their opinions.

TKC Perspective . . . The bigger picture is that the immigration battle was lost a long time ago and now we're experiencing the impact of Mexican culture on American politics i.e. for better or worse the "broken system" and policy pretty much works despite the cruel toll it takes on families and small biz.

They aren't rounding up all the Mexicans to make white grandpa happy . . . Moreover, labor needs and low price demands dictate policy (broken or otherwise) while human rights and/or nativist (racist) outcry disguised as patriotism take a backseat.

  1. If Mary had her way all Mexican citizens would be viewed as the same status wise as US Citizens.

  2. Mary Sanchez is CONSTANTLY taking up positions that she calculates have already reached a level of consensus so as not to rock the boat. Just "go along to get along."

Well, Ms. Sanchez, a person is either in this country legally or illegally. If you support the rule of law in our country, then people who get caught violating the law, should be held accountable. It's not complicated!

To start equivocating on immigration law enforcement because "well, it happened years ago and they're married with children now" means that everyone who's gotten away with past crimes should be forgiven? I don't think that's a society that any of us would wish to live in.

    Start thinking and quit following.

I'd respect the 'rule of law' if it weren't soooo wrong. I'd respect the 'rule of law', if it were based on reason instead of fear & ignorance.

  14. With the Latino population growing incredibly fast in the birthrate of illegitimate kids perhaps Mizz Sanchezz would consider addressing another pressing issue in her informative writings and that is the bastardization of America.
